Book Publishing - Completion

Registration
Once your book is in print we are obliged to notify Whitakers (Books in Print) of its existence. We are also bound, as publishers, to submit a copy of your book to the British Library. Usually a request is then issued for five more copies to be sent to other deposit libraries in the country. These submissions are legally required.

Other than these six copies, and one we ask to keep for our own archive, the remaining books are yours, and we have no further claim on them once you have paid our bill! The copyright of your work is also yours, and if you choose, in the future, to reprint your book you are not obliged to return to Blot (although we hope you would).

If You Are Unhappy
You must be certain before you commit yourself to publishing that you are aware of what is going to happen, and what the costs will be. We will make sure that you have a full estimate. The cost will only vary if you decide that you would like to make some alteration (e.g. change the cover from black & white to colour). We will not make any changes which will incur a greater cost unless you have asked us to.

We do our best, throughout the production process, to ensure that you are happy with the way the project is going. It is vital that you say, at any time, if you are unhappy. Your initial deposit is only refundable up to a point (see: The Costs Involved - How do I Pay?)

Blot Publishing is a Quaker business.
